3. Membership and Account Registration

3.1 Membership Requirement

Our services are available only to registered members. You can browse our catalog freely, but you must create an account to complete purchases or trade books.

3.2 Account Creation

To create an account, you must:

• Maintain and update your account information

4.2 Book Valuation

• Books are valued at 47% of their original retail price
• Final valuation is determined by us based on condition, demand, and market factors
• We reserve the right to reject books that don't meet our standards

4.3 Points System

• Earning Points: Points are calculated as (Book Value ÷ $5) × 100, rounded up
• Point Value: 100 points equal $5 in purchasing power
• Point Expiration: Points expire 24 months from the date earned
• Account Maximum: 2,500 points maximum per account ($125 value)
• Non-Transferable: Points cannot be transferred between accounts or redeemed for cash

5. Purchase Terms

5.1 Minimum Orders

• Cash-only purchases: $45 minimum required
• Using points: $37+ minimum required

5.2 Pricing and Payment

• All prices are in US Dollars and subject to change without notice
• Payment is due at the time of purchase
• We accept major credit cards and loyalty points for payment
• All sales are final unless otherwise specified
• 5.3 Point Redemption

Points are traded for discount codes according to our current redemption tiers:

• Tier 1: Trade 300 points for discount code providing $15 off orders of $37+
• Tier 2: Trade 500 points for discount code providing $25 off orders of $56+
• Tier 3: Trade 800 points for discount code providing $40 off orders of $80+

Redemption Process:

1. Trade points through our loyalty system to receive a discount code
2. Add eligible books to your cart meeting minimum requirements
3. Apply discount code at checkout to receive the discount
4. Pay the remaining balance with accepted payment methods

Restrictions:

• Discount codes must be applied to carts meeting minimum value requirements
• Point discounts cannot exceed 50% of any single order
• Discount codes may have expiration dates
• Points cannot be combined with other promotional offers unless specifically stated

6. Shipping and Delivery

6.1 Service Areas and Shipping Costs

Pacific Northwest (Free Shipping):

• Washington State, Oregon, Northern California
• Free shipping on all qualifying orders

Rest of United States ($5 Shipping):

• All other US states including Alaska and Hawaii
• $5 flat-rate shipping added at checkout

6.2 Shipping Methods

We use reliable carriers for trackable delivery. Shipping times vary by location:

• Pacific Northwest: 1-2 business days
• Rest of US: 3-5 business days

6.3 Delivery Risk

Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages after delivery confirmation.

6.4 International Shipping

Currently, we only ship within the United States. We do not ship to US territories. International shipping may be available in the future.

7. Returns and Refunds

7.1 Return Policy

Returns accepted within 14 days for:

• Books damaged during shipping
• Books significantly different from our condition description
• Our shipping errors

Returns not accepted for:

• Change of mind after reading book descriptions
• Normal wear consistent with "good condition" rating

Non-Member Gifts:

• Purchase books as gifts with standard minimum cart requirements ($45+)
• Optional "Gift Membership" add-on ($25) provides recipient with 500 bonus points
• Recipients receive gifted books plus bonus points to begin trading

Member Gifts:

• Members may trade points for gift discount codes following standard tier structure
• Gift membership component requires additional 500-point investment beyond personal discount
• Recipients receive selected books plus 400 bonus points

8.2 Gift Delivery and Redemption

• Gift recipients receive books and bonus points upon delivery
• Bonus points are automatically credited to recipient's account upon registration
• Recipients must create accounts to access bonus points and platform features
• Gift purchases are subject to all standard terms including return policies

8.3 Gift Program Limitations

• Gift memberships cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash
• Bonus points are subject to standard 24-month expiration policy
• Recipients are responsible for all account activity after receiving gifts
• Gift purchases count toward member point caps and transaction limits

9. Intellectual Property

• From smoke-free environments when possible

11.2 Rejection Process

• We reserve the right to reject any books that don't meet our standards

• No points will be awarded for rejected books
• No return shipping provided for rejected books
